Staying safe on dates
Over the years we have run literally thousands of events around the UK and almost all of them have passed safely and without any sort of problem. Your safety is of tremendous importance to us, so following some simple rules can help ensure that there is never a problem for you. We have a comprehensive set of common sense tips and hints for always ensuring your personal safety, in our ‘Dating Safely‘ section of the site. Here are 5 of the most important.
Park safely
Plan ahead and think about where you are going to park safely. It might be a wonderfully light summer’s evening when you arrive but what’s it going to be like at the end of the evening?
Play by the rules
Our events are professionally organised and run by a trained facilitator or host.
We have thought things through very carefully, so don’t give out your home address or telephone number on the night unless you’re very sure of that person. We provide results the following day for speed dating and we are always happy to pass someone’s information on after other types of events. But we never give out someone’s number unless specifically asked to.
Meet in a public place
If you have met someone nice and it has now progressed to a date, remember that meeting in a public and busy place is always best.
Trust your judgement and intuition
Many women are blessed with a powerful 6th sense and have the ability to get a good feel for whether or not someone is genuine. Trust that judgement and if things don’t feel right then don’t go through with the date.
Check people out
These days it is relatively easy to research someone.
Google, Facebook and other search engines hold a wealth of information on individuals, so make use of them and check out if you can see any obvious ‘skeletons in the cupboard’.
Lets be careful out there!
