Have you ever thought to yourself that there are a lot of disadvantages to being single?
There are actually quite a few and if you’ve been single for a while now then you will be able to resonate with that empty, perhaps longing feeling when you are single. Of course, there are some people who enjoy the single life but this post is for those of you who are sick and tired of being single.
Many people get resigned to being single, perhaps because they’ve already been single for a while now or even because they’ve just gotten out of a long term relationship and don’t know where to start when looking for a new partner. The reasons are varied and we’re not going to get into that here.
Here are a few disadvantages of being single.
- Being alone on holidays – This one really sucks. It’s Christmas time and you’ve got no one to celebrate it with apart from your family. We like to spend time with a significant other at Christmas or any holiday period for that matter so it can feel incredibly lonely when you’re by yourself.
- No one to do anything with – Sometimes you don’t want to go out for coffee with your friends, take a walk with them. Sometimes you want to do those things with a partner and it can suck when all your friends have boyfriends or girlfriends but you don’t.
- Connection – As human beings we all want a connection with a significant other. It makes our lives and time more special. This feeling of connection with a significant other can also create a different meaning for each person’s life.
These are a few disadvantages of being single. If you are sick of being single and want to do something about it, then it may be worth attending one of our many singles events, speed dating events, and even singles holidays.
